The Slinger Wrestling Club sends out hearty congratulations to Slinger High School wrestler Joel Yogerst. Joel placed 2nd in the 215 pound weight class at the sectionals tournament at Sheboygan South High School on Saturday, February 16, 2008. This achievement makes Joel a state qualifier and he will compete in the WIAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament beginning Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Honorable mentions go to Brandon Berger, Ryan Sacotte, Abe Graziano, and Austin Dietsch. These wrestlers fought valorous battles at the sectionals tournament. Collin Cooper and Bryson Bregantini also represented Slinger at the sectionals tournament.
